Baton Rouge Garden Wedding
Matt & Mikaila had a romantic spring wedding in beautiful Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Burden Gardens offered a stunning limonaia/orangery backdrop for their ceremony. Mikaila designed her own seasonal floral bouquet (and Matt’s boutonniere!), wore an embroidered BHLDN dress, and completed her look with a concrete necklace purchased from Etsy. As long-time Vegans, the couple served a 100% vegan buffet and had a vegan wedding cake.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: The ceremony was short and sweet… a little too short though! The officiant (a friend of the couple’s) forgot the the ring ceremony and ended up announcing bride and groom married. They quickly realized something was amiss though and exchanged rings before being announced again. I also thought it was cool (and super nerdy) when the couple used a D20 dice to decide who would read their vows first.
