My husband, Doug and I on our wedding day.

I Stubbornly REFUSE TO DESCRIBE MYSELF AS A "ROMANTIC"

From the start of my wedding photography career I've realized I'm taken by true love. As cheesy as it sounds, I am most inspired by couples who have found their one. --That person who they can truly consider their best friend, confidant and point of happiness. As a recently married lady myself, I find that this expression is amplified and my work incorporates that transmission of love, by using different styles of fashion, photojournalism & art.

I've always been interested in the visual arts and began my photography career after finishing my degree in professional journalism at the University of Minnesota and moving to California. In San Francisco I began photographing events, performances and fashion shows as the photography intern at the internationally famous Supperclub. From there I ventured into the realm of fashion photography and continued to photograph weddings, learning from other photographers and artists along the way.

After two years in Northern California I finally made the trek back to Minneapolis to pursue wedding photography as a career. I'm a strong believer that you have to have passion for what you do in order to do it well. To capture the energy and love that two people share for each other on their special day is the ultimate rush!
